Removes Temporary Edge Protection Requirement
Traditionally a precast stair requires temporary edge protection or scaffold for Health & Safety purposes. With our unique Treadform system, a permanent balustrade is installed prior to precast stair installation, eliminating temporary edge protection.

No On-Site Drilling Required & Rebar Clashes
In the past when an RSA is used, on-site drilling to fix the bolts can have the possibility of hitting reinforcements. The dangers of this are twofold. The contact area may be reduced due to the hole no longer being round due to re-drilling, or the bolt head may not sit squarely against the RSA, and reduce the clamping effect on the RSA.
Treadform’s unique cast in bracket ensures a simple, fast and efficient connection between stairs and balustrade. There is no requirement for drilling on-site and any potential rebar clashes are eliminated.
