We are all too aware that manufacturing and construction are two of the most dangerous industries and Brooksby is committed to reducing the risks involved.
We adhere to all health and safety legislation and are also accredited to The Safety Scheme in Procurement accreditation (SSiP) through Achilles and Safety Management Advisory Services (SMAS) by SSiP (Worksafe accreditation as a Contractor).
However, as with quality we go above and beyond the certifications that demonstrate our Health and Safety competence. This is perhaps best demonstrated by the development of our latest product innovation – Flight Deck® slide-on balconies which were designed to minimise on-site health and safety risks, as Flight Deck® balconies do not have to be fixed from a balcony below, which would previously have constituted working under a live load.
Our Health and Safety Policy has been prepared and is issued to employees and contractors to ensure that total commitment is given to the prevention of accidents and ill-health in all work locations. All site operatives are trained to the relevant standards. Method statements and risk assessments are prepared well ahead of commencement of work on site. Cranage, machinery and access equipment on site is inspected and maintained to ensure the safety of users and others on site.
